APS Legal & Associates
FAQs
Becoming a Consultant
Q. Is the Associate agreement granted for a finite time period? If so what is the initial period and also the details for renewal.
As a company strategy, we do not operate our business model by granting Associate agreements to gain routine revenue, so we have always taken the view that an Associate agreement is granted for life. Our business model is based on revenue from the support and production of Legal documents required by the Associate/Legal consultant, rather than any initial investment. In this way we are committed to working with them to develop their business because if we do not then we cannot profitably develop our business.
Q. How many current fully qualified Legal Consultants are there in APS Legal & Associates?
We have just over 140 qualified Legal consultants with a national coverage, and this includes a presence in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Q. Is it possible to speak to existing Associates/Legal Consultants before I decide whether to proceed and train as a consultant myself?
Of course, we would encourage this. We like all of our potential new Associates to undertake all due diligence enquires and checks and ask as many questions as they wish. We like to provide as much information as possible to ensure any new Associates are able to make an informed decision as to whether the industry or indeed APS Legal & Associates is right for them and their business.
REFERRALS
Q. How does a referral work?
There are two ways in which you can make referrals.
SELF REFERRALS
We frequently receive calls from members of the public enquiring about a will. A member of our administration team will take the initial enquiry advising the client that their enquiry will be passed to an Associate nearest to them who will contact them and discuss their requirements further and make arrangements to provide a free, no obligation, home consultation. The referral is then passed onto the Associate and the information recorded on a database.
IFA REFERRALS
These referrals are sent to Head Office by two methods. These are either e mailed to our enquiries department via our website or by telephone from the IFA himself. See website for further details.
