Bupa Individual Protection is part of the Bupa group, the UK’s leading, independent health and care organisation. We specialise in protection and provide a range of policies to protect against financial risks and the consequences of ill-health.
Our suite of products - includes income protection, life cover and critical illness cover. This year, 2009, we have been reaccredited a five star rating from Defaqto for our critical illness products and our income protection product.

Benefits of Bupa Individual Protection products include:
- coverage of each of the 23 ABI conditions. Six of these are enhanced; aorta graft surgery, coma, heart attack, loss of hands or feet, HIV infection and third degree burns
- coverage of 14 additional conditions1 including; chronic rheumatoid arthritis, coronary angioplasty, type 1 insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, systemic lupus erythematosus
- an additional partial benefit payment for low-grade prostate cancer and mastectomy in the presence of ductal carcinoma in situ alongside standard benefit payments
